I was so thrilled! My students had worked hard all term to do well in my English class. I felt they deserved a huge party. We ordered pizza for everyone and enjoyed! It was a fun gathering. Everyone talked and greatly enjoyed their food. I was so proud of my kids, and it really saddened me to think that some of them might not return. I had grown attached to every one of my kids.
During the middle of the party, I was trying to get the students to finish the rest of the soda. We didn’t want any leftovers! So, I figured I show them my “fake” pouring the “sealed” bottle in my mouth. Let’s just say that I didn’t know there was no cap on the bottle. Orange soda went all over me. All of my kids screamed at me and were in complete shock! I, on the other hand, was laughing hysterically at myself! Leah was enjoying the moment, too. The room was silent except for our laughter. Eventually it wasn’t as funny and I had to clean up my mess.
It was a good party, even though I made a mess. Some of the students even brought us presents! I love those kids, I hope that won’t be the last time I saw them.
